Tipper.

I took this picture in the front garden, when we had come back from trying to catch tiddlers in the stream. I've got a new camera, and am busily taking pictures of everything I see!

I went crabbing with Freddie today, at Poole Quay. We had a pair of stinky squid to use as bait, and I had no idea how easy it would be to catch them. We just plonked ourselves on a concrete spur, and dangled our lines in the water. Crab after crab grabbed hold, and in the end we had about 20 or so. None of them were big enough to eat though.

The recordings.

The recordings., originally uploaded by Jamie Pullman.

This week we've been playing Bartok's 'The Wooden Prince', and for the next couple of days we are recording it, and I've got to say, it's bloody hard work. We had a backdrop of an abstract film supposedly illustrating the story as we played for the concert yesterday, but it was so abstract as to be almost pointless. One of the trumpeters described it as being Ken Russell without the tits, and he was pretty much right.

Next week it's Bluebeard's Castle, which is supposed to be a bit better.

Nothing ventured and certainly nothing gained.

75 votes. Not much change from the last time, so I think of it as a moral victory.

Quarter past three

And still no bloody result. I've really had about enough of hanging around, and trooping upstairs to hear other people's results. Bloody hell.

The count.

And just to add insult to injury, thr bar is shut because the BNP are in, and the woman runnig the place doesn't fancy the idea of pissed-up racists charging around, looking for a fight.

Local election count

Local election count, originally uploaded by Jamie Pullman.

At the count.

Watching the votes being counted is hilarious. Ream after ream of libdem and tory votes and the odd one for us. I saw one paper which cheered me up. The person had voted only once, and for me. Ahhh...

The election count.

I'm knackered, and have just arrived at the count for the local elections. God only knows what kind of time the result will be announced but, I've decided that my target is 30 votes. That's based on Labour only getting 220 votes last time, divided between the three candidates, and Labour are abouth half as popular as they were, so around 30 would be par.
*sigh*

Our new solar fountain arrived 10 minutes ago, and was plugged in 5 minutes ago. So far, not even a dribble has made it up the spout.

With the rubble and rubbish shifted to the drive for the next year or so, the vegetable patch can be seen in a state of near completion.
